Junior Board

Education First Cambodia is pleased to have a Junior Board to support our efforts. Their intelligence and fresh ideas further strengthen the organization and serve as role models for the EFC students.

Abby Markowitz

Abby Markowitz graduated from Dartmouth College in 2016 with a degree in Government, Economics, and International Studies. She is currently working in Deloitte’s public sector consulting practice in Washington, DC. Together with her sister Elizabeth, Abby raised funds for a trip for all EFC students to Angkor Wat in 2017.

Elizabeth Markowitz

Elizabeth studied Spanish at Dartmouth College and Medical Anthropology at University College London. She is interested in the intersection of culture, language, psychological health and medicine. She is currently pursuing further studies with the hope of helping to improve healthcare in under-resourced Spanish-speaking communities. Together with her sister Abby, Elizabeth raised funds for a trip for all EFC students to Angkor Wat in 2017. 

Ali Mann

Ali graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with a degree in Design and a minor in Business. She is currently working on the digital marketing team at a public relations/marketing agency in New York City.

Kelly Bach

​Kelly graduated from Dartmouth College in 2016 with a degree in Neuroscience, Spanish, and the Anthropology of Global Health. She is currently working in clinical research at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, studying rehabilitation strategies and innovative technologies for wounded warriors with limb loss and other combat casualties. She will attend medical school starting in Fall 2018. 

Sarah Whittaker

Sarah graduated from Dartmouth College in 2016 with a B.A. in Anthropology and Global Health. She is currently working as a Standardization Associate at the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement.
