Sponsor a Junior Scholar

How does it work?

When you sponsor a Junior Scholar, you enable a deserving young woman to fulfill her dream of attending university. More importantly, you change her life, enabling her to leave the poverty of her village to find a career where she can support herself and members of her family.

The cost of changing one young woman's life is astoundingly small by Western standards, only $720 per year.
Sponsorship of a Junior Scholar requires a commitment of $60/month for one, two or three years, depending on the student's grade level when she joins the Program. This pays for the student's studies for Cambodia’s competitive 12th Grade National Exam, which determines whether she will be admitted to a public university and whether she will receive a university scholarship. The Junior Scholars Program also provides the student with a living stipend for her first year of university, at which point she is eligible to apply to become one of Education First Cambodia’s Women Scholars.. Education First Cambodia is a 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 47-1669028), and all donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Once your sponsorship is established, you will receive information about your sponsored student. You are encouraged to develop your own relationship with your sponsored student through e-mails, texts or online conversations.
